This list focuses on Razorbacks using as many as possible to give target saturation and and fire power. All Razorbacks are las/plas config which helps against target priority and gives flexible long range fire power and short ranged power.
In the list is two Librarians which use shield powers to protect armour and troops and then have unleash rage when in combat, can make a nasty unit when used with Honour Guard which have plenty of attacks. Honour Guard are added to give more Razorback saturation and feel no pain and furious charge bubbles along side the single elite Sanguinary Priest choice - furious charge rules with power weapons ;) . Troop numbers make up the normal amount of full size squads you'll find in a normal Marine list, mix of melta and flamer to deal with armour at range and hordes. Lastly is the Vindicators which serve several purposes as anti horde, anti infantry, anti vehicle and target distraction - many opponents focus on the Vindicators (which can be disappointing when they get taken out) which allows my weaker Razorbacks to go unhindered.
Tactics
Depending on what army I play against deployment tactics vary. Against a assault style army the Razorbacks hang back and use lascannons to snipe as monstrous creatures, vehicles etc - this also works for a short ranged army packnig lots of melta i.e Veteran Guardsmen with meltas. Against a weaker army which isn't so good in combat I will deploy as forward as possible, move up unleash plasma and lascannons and then next turn bail out to assault, even from the tanks assault range can be 14" which isn't too bad thanks to the 2" radius of getting out the transport ;)
Melta units will solely focus on heavy armour which the lascannons cannot deal with i.e Leman Russes and Land Raiders. If heavy armour isn't available they will torrent a monstrous creature with mass melta.
Flamer units focus on thinning out troops and then lauching a assault using those power weapons with furious charge thanks to the Priest.
Vindicators being fast can keep up with the Razorbacks but more importantly get into range quicker and reposition a lot easier if required.

A Blood Angels list with eight Razorbacks. That's one expensive army :P
Yup and I've got all the models too, just waiting for a Vindicator to be delivered from ebay which I'm not expecting to arrive as been waiting over a week now when everything purchased around that time has arrived.
Luckily I had three Rhinos from my previous Space Marine army which I had glued the hatches on with dabs of super glue, they all come off really easy which is good. I then picked up Razorback turret complete kits for £5 each, bargain ;) I'm just short on 6 plasma guns now, luckily I can get them for a £1 each :) . Hopefully I can do some mass painting over Christmas and get the remaining armour painted up :)
Wow,
You're packing quite a lot in there for 2,000 points on the button. 10 Chassis is a fair number for anyone to deal with.
Yup it's a lot and if you destroy a Razorback I don't really care lol. Got 8 lascannons and two blasts to kick things off at range as the Vindicators can move 12" and then fire 24" which is pretty handy this also makes the Vindicators become a threat and fire power goes into them instead of the Razorbacks.
Once in range it's a S9 and 2 S7 shots from the Razorbacks plus the Assault Marines melta and flamers. Then they can assault next turn with feel no pain, furious charge and also unleash rage, nasty.
A very nice BA mech list. I don't think I could do any better than this (Hell - I don't think I can come close to this). Although I would probably take Baal Preds instead of Vindicators. Not because they're better - because they're cooler...
Thanks man. I tried Baal Preds ages ago the assault cannons were meh and while flamestorms are cool they need to be ahead unsupported. Vindicators fit best giving some large blast for anti infantry but more importantly can keep pace with the Razorbacks as they can move 12" and still be in range, while the flamestorms need to be forward as mentioned and assault cannons just don't kill enough.
Yeah - I know they aren't as good... I just love the look of them... I've always had a thing for Assault Cannons, ever since 2nd Ed... AC Speeders, AC Termies, AC Dreads - I love them all.... but AC Razors or Baals are the only ones I would probably take....
