So I was supposed to play in a 3 round Adepticon practice yesterday. Had my tyranids army all sorted and painted. I woke up bright and early since registration was at 9:30 AM and Manchester is about 45 minutes away (and it was snowing out so I accounted for extra time). Got myself showered and sorted, even pre packed all my models the night before!
And would you believe, I go outside to start warming up my truck....and it wasn't where I left it....
That's right folks, my truck was stolen Friday night.
Long story short, I never made it to the tourny (my only goal for the weekend) because of car theft. REALLY?!?! Spent all day with the police, my insurance company and the rental car dealer. Fuck My Life.
So do you have any whacky stories about something that prevented you from playing games or making it to a tourny? Think you can top mine? ;)
